Ep 2: Tolerance: The Boundaries of Belief. Interview with Kerr Cuhulain. As we grow into a global village, different ideologies and different religious traditions are increasingly coming into conflict. In the West, new religious movements continue to diversify and grow, and the level of misunderstanding and misinformation between different systems can easily grow into violence and hate crimes. How do we open a dialogue between different religious traditions in order to dispel the misunderstandings? Is it possible for disparate religions to peacefully coexist? Author Kerr Cuhulain shares with us his experience in tolerance work, offering tips for helping to promote understanding especially of fringe religions. We tackle tough issues like hate crimes, willful misinformation, and tragic situations that can arise from a close-minded approach to belief.

Very nice: a good, nuanced take on tolerance, falling neither into fluffy “we should tolerate everything!” or getting mired in “this way is right, that is wrong.”

This one says a lot, and teaches a lot that needs to be taught. (And yes, I’ve had to take a look at myself because of this one.) :)

I had to look for my pencil and paper to take notes. These podcasts are full of information that I was unaware of. As a 16 year old girl living in a very straitlaced area of tennessee known as the bible belt it is very hard for me to feel confortable being athiest. I can easily relate to this podcast.

    Very interesting!
Also useful for people living in countries where the pagan community is still mostly young.
