Shadowdance 025: Teaching, Teachers, and Being Self-Taught

Shows September 8th, 2008

Thanks so much for the patience, everyone! Chris is finally settled in Los Angeles, so the show will go on!

In this episode, we took two minis and combined them into a 15 minute show, with a little help from Rob Balder for the interstitial music. You’ll see what we mean.

Enjoy, and we’ll be back soon with a real, honest-to-gods long-form show.

Here’s a link to the Bonewits cult scale referenced in the first half of the show:

Another great episode guys! I was really looking forward to another ep and this was really great!

If I may, I’d like to suggest a topic for a future episode and that would be Left Hand/ Right Hand Path and the differences/ variations between the two and what they are all about.

For what I’ve read I consider myself to be LHP but I’ve not been able to find a concise, truly informative source on either. I’m not a Satanist but I know LHP consists of more than just that but all the info I’ve found seems to focus on Satanism.

Anyway, just an idea I hope you’ll consider. The show is always enjoyable so I’ll be listening no matter what subject you cover.

    Cheers.

I could definitely relate to much in this one. Natural gifted - check! Problems accepting that - double check! Lots of time trying what the hell it is - oh yeah check! I’m definitely not on the far end of that scale. Trying to go it alone early on definitely taught me the value of help and collaboration. In my experience, I also learned the rather tough lesson of getting exactly what you said you wanted. On the other hand, you tend to learn the hard lessons the first time.

    Great episode!

I loved this mini episode. It really focused on the essentials of what beginners need to know. I think these short shows help those people who don’t have time and/or the attention span to absorb the information without feeling overloaded. Even though it was short nothing felt left out.

I’d love to see more of these mini-shows focused on specific topics like trance/no-mind, chi, inner energy and sigils. Shows that talk about what they are and give exercises to experiment with these topics.

Thanks again for all the work you do.
    Love the podcast.

    Mike
