Shadowdance 030: Dreamwalking
Shows August 9th, 2009
This episode is a talk Michelle gave at last year’s Kheperu Open House, on Dreamwalking. To delve further, check out her book, Psychic Dreamwalking: Explorations at the Edge of Self.
(Sure, not much of a set of show notes, but, well, those two sentences tells you what you need to know.

Technical issue: It’s a bit sad that the volume is so low. Even on max I have a hard time getting it all.
Very interesting topic. Sleeping in my one bed I have a hard time remembering my dreams, but sleeping somewhere else, i.e. sleeping over at a friend I remember my dreams more clear. Is this common?

Something you (Michelle) said in this one about the cobbled together nature of memory reminded me of an article I had recently read about a memory condition called Hyperthymesia. People with Hyperthymesia have an incredible autobiographical memory, though apparently there are only three known cases.
In case you find it interesting, like I did, here’s a link to the story. I forget which magazine I read it in initially, but I’m positive this webpage has the story I read.

Anyways, I enjoyed the show, especially the accounts given (I’m always fascinated by other people’s experiences). I purchased ‘Psychic Dreamwalking’ some time ago and loved it, though I’ve not gotten around dedicating myself to learning to do it yet.

What I found interesting was the hag riding. I was just listening to another podcast that dealt with that subject, and they said that one of the traditional way to prevent hag riding was to close the window. Maybe many of those people had allergy problems.
