I must say after listening to this episode I was completely shocked in how much I can identify with Chris. I have felt drawn to Druidism, and Arthurian legends ever since I first put my hands on Marion Zimmer Bradlie's "Mists of Avalon" which I am currently re-reading for the...  7th time I believe.

I don't think I have ever found someone that I could relate to on this type of level such as Chris and it blows my mind away. I am outside every hour of the night and day that I can. Listening to my Celtic music and enjoying my form of mediation.

I am only 18 and I do feel crippled in the fact that I know absolutely no one around my area of Massachusetts that can show me, and validate what I feel or what I do (which isn't much at the present moment- face it, I'm a newbie) Sometimes not having that validation makes me feel as if I am going completely nuts! Yet, here Chris comes along and spills everything that has been starting in my life in a 1 hour session.

I must ask, that if Chris ever does see this, if he had any recommendations for finding a Druid type of group, I would be more than appreciative. Or, in the matter any recommendations at all for furthering my... education in this topic.

I really found the episode interesting, and I too identified with Chris, in very different ways though.  I'm not the pagan or druidy sort in the slightest, in fact, I plan to one day incinerate the entire planet  Wink

But some of his modalities of working, and interactions seemed similar to me.  Specifically his mimicing ability, when I met him, I didn't know he could do that (so I'm glad I didn't do anything I didn't want repeating around him :-p ), but I do that too, and haven't found too many people who claim to be able to do such to actually be any good at it.  I found his sense of honour, with the admitted ambiguities really interesting, and similar to my own, though in place of the ambiguities, I have cold-heartless logic, heh.

I was really glad to hear more about Chris, it filled in a lot.

I'm really glad everyone enjoyed the show.  I'm a terribly private guy, but I felt like I owed it to everyone to speak up a bit about my own personal experience.

Ges: I wish I'd have had more time to hang out when we met, an fear not...I work to keep the mimicking under control.

Kehlo: I would recommend checking out the ADF, OBOD, and AODA websites/mailing lists.  Also, Witchvox.com used to have a group finder...that might help you out.

I'll put this out there...did anyone have any questions about the episode that I can answer?

I'll second the ADF rec.  I joined for a year when I thought I might be into Druidry (for my heritage if nothing else) and enrolled in the Dedicant Program, but the style appeal to me so I didn't renew.  But it's a good group.  A friend of mine did complete the program and joined a Grove near her and has been enjoying the work.

I have a question. I think I remember this from a earlier podcast I think you said something about there being a crown. The crown had something to do with avalon. I am deeply curious is there anyway you can show us a sketch or maybe an old picture? Also can you go into detail of the function of this crown? If I am wrong about the crown thing lol I am sorry.
