Just for fun, think up the craziest cult you can think of, or tell us the wackiest one you've heard of:

I've always been partial to the Pastafarianism--the cult of the Flying Spagetti Monster--and the Church of the Fonz (Let us Eyyy). I've always thought Scientology was a funny one too.

your turn. . .

Hey as a Corvin I represent that remark. :-)

I like Frisbeetarian, they believe that your soul is a frisbee flying between two points although sometimes it does wind up on the roof.

How about the new reform druids - all they believe is that "nature is good." Some students in collage invented it to get you of going to chapel.

Oooooh, I love that one.  I don’t know if the Church of the SubGenius is a cult or more of hippy satire, but any ‘church’ that says if you pay the fee of $30 to become an ordained minister (therefore guaranteeing you to go to heaven when you die) and then offers you your money back if you go to hell, can’t be all that bad.  PRAISE BOB!  Tongue

Of course, but you only receive that upon reaching the third degree in the Secret Order of the Cocoa Bean.

You know who heads up the  Secret Order of the Cocoa Bean?
Sonny the "I'm cuckoo for cocoa puffs" bird and he takes his post quite seriously, mmmh, hmmmm.  The crazy bird thing is just an act Wink.

how about those toastacrucians?   realizing life is crumby but one can make it more palatable and buttery with a good attitude.

I'd follow Cookie or Big Bird any day.
So would Cookie monster be considered Left Hand Path, and Big Bird Right Hand Path? Of course Big bird is a little more easy going. Anyone can bring up something new to him and his thought is, Wow. Ok. That's new. I'll try it!
But Cookie is great, because after contemplating the vastness and beauty of the cookie, he'll still devour it.

I think Cookie Monster was a left-hand path kind of guy.  If he wanted that cookie, saints be preserved, it did not matter who it belonged to, Ernie or any one else was oreos out of luck.  He had the pluck to take the dough into his own hairy, little mitts.  All praise the Cookie Monster, yum, yum, yum.
