What should we look for in teachers?

From red flag personality traits to knowing when to avoid the folks peddling sex magick, keep your purpose in seeking out a teacher in mind. How much time do you have to dedicate to learning?

Use your bullshit detector, and don't agree to anything that you aren't comfortable with.

Good teachers can take "no" for answer - so don't be afraid to say no, ask hard questions, and challenge your potential teachers. Look for someone who is honest and doesn't play games with your emotions. And consider whether you need a teacher at all, or whether you can learn what you want to on your own or with a group of like-minded seekers.
