S1|EP34: Left- vs. Right-Hand Path

A lot of Left-Hand Path stuff does lend itself more towards selfish magic. Magic where if I want this and I can do this, there is nothing to stop me but me from doing this. A lot of Right-Hand Path will worry that it is not their right to have these things (magic towards getting a job, in example.)

S1|EP34:

Left- vs. Right-Hand Path

Summary

What have these terms come to mean to magickal practitioners, and where do they come from? Is everyone who follows a left-hand path dark, selfish, evil, dirty, or satanic?

Is the right-hand path more concerned with light, theology, worship, obedience to universal rules or a deity, and abstract "good" than with making change in the world?

How has sexuality played into these magickal identities? Does the real difference boil down to "Thy will be done" for the right-hand path, and "My will be done" for the left?

What subtleties does this binary classification miss? And what value do these distinctions hold for modern magickal practitioners?
